It is a pleasure to announce that, after several weeks of work and an investment of a quarter of a million dollars, Pitahayas Restaurant has re-opened its doors with a bright updated look and a brand new menu. Chef Ulises Gonzalez and Chef Volker Romeike have created this menu incorporating many new flavors and ingredients that bring a mixture of a variety of cultures that surround the Pacific Ocean. We are ready to serve our members and guests here at Pitahayas.
As of November, 01st, 2020 our resort will be re-branded as HACIENDA DEL MAR LOS CABOS Resort, Villas & Golf. Be ready for more exciting news that we will be bringing to our members and guests very soon! After twenty years carrying the Sheraton flag it is time to go independent. Most of the employees, that have been with us for years will remain in the resort. Their experience and love for what they do give us the assurance of continuing to be successful. The management team, some of them veterans of International hotel chains and with a vast experience in several countries around the world will continue with us, leading the way and helping to provide the finest service and product. Among them it is a pleasure to have on board as the resort Managing Director Renato Mendonca, a former General Manager at the hotel for 10 years.
Cabo del Sol, our private community is developing several new projects to be announced soon. Our members and guests will continue to have access and special offers.
Hygiene protocols and the safety of our guests are still our top priority. We will continue the use of masks and social-distancing practices at the resort for the foreseeable future. We will keep all areas sanitized and will be monitoring guests by taking temperatures as well.
Los Cabos reopened its doors on June 15th with 30% capacity and now is at 50% capacity after careful consideration and planning. The hotels and all businesses will go through regional inspections to ensure that they comply with the protocols that have been set before being allowed to open. The Visitors’ Bureau developed a layered approach with support from all travel partners to reinforce hygiene, cleaning, physical-distancing, and the use of personal protective equipment. All Night Life activity is currently closed or restricted. Regular tour activities are open with a capacity limit that has been set in all destinations.
Currently there are seven domestic and fifteen International inbound flights from cities to the destination and by the end of the year we expect to have more flight capacity than the amount we had last year.
We hope to see you in Los Cabos soon!
